The robbery took place around 2 a.m., Tuesday, May 28, at the Dunkin' at 593 Post Road, said Fairfield Police Lt. John Bucherati.

The cashier told officers that a black male, with a thin build, in his 40’s, wearing a red jacket and hat came into the store and threatened to shoot her, Bucherati said.

The suspect took an undetermined amount of cash from the register and fled the store, police said.

A K9 track of the suspect was unsuccessful.
